NBS Bank, FAM renew partnership

NBS Bank plc this week renewed its partnership with the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) on bankrolling the Charity Shield by increasing the sponsorship package from K15 million to K20 million. This year’s edition will see TNM Super League champions FCB Nyasa Bullets and Airtel Top 8 winners Mighty Mukuru Wanderers facing off at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe. The proceeds from Shield will be used to help survivors of Tropical Cyclone Freddy which hit most parts of the Southern Region. NBS Bank plc Chief Executive Officer Kwanele Ngwenya said: “It feels good to be back and renew our commitment to the welfare of our fellow Malawian s through football.” On his part, PAM president Waiter Nyamilandu expressed gratitude to the bank for increasing the package. At a different occasion, the bank also dressed the two teams.
